United Firefighters of Los Angeles City, Local 112 is saddened to announce the death of LAFD Pilot/Firefighter Steven Robinson. Brother Robinson died August 9, 2015 at the age of 49.

The United States Forest Service has announced the line of duty death of one of their own. USFS Firefighter Michael Hallenbeck, 21, from Shingle Springs, died late Saturday, August 8, 2015 after being struck by a tree during initial attack on the Sierra Fire near Lake Tahoe.

At least five people, including three Ventura Co. firefighters, were hospitalized after an early-morning vacuum truck explosion and fire Thursday in Santa Paula. Residents within a mile of the explosion site were evacuated, as the fire continued to burn in the afternoon.
