Climate-caused disaster has rocked California, calling renewed attention to the state's critically-stressed mutual aid system. CPF President Lou Paulson & Cal-Chiefs President Michael Duree say preparing for these disaster must be part of discussions about cap-and-trade. 

This year's California Firefighters Memorial Ceremony, which will take place on September 30th,  marks the 15th anniversary of the annual tribute. All firefighters, family members and citizens are being asked to save the date and attend.

It is with a heavy heart that CAL FIRE Local 2881 has announced the passing of long-time Local 2881 President and CPF 6th District Vice President Emeritus Bob Wolf. Brother Wolf died suddenly last night in Arizona.
